The Working Capital Solutions at BBVA CIB is focused on promoting the development and commercialization of Supply Chain Finance (SCF) & Receivables Finance solutions globally, across all geographies where BBVA has presence.
ABOUT THE POSITION
We are looking for a Vice President to lead the development, evolution, and innovation strategy of BBVA's Global Working Capital Solutions portfolio. The role will be responsible for defining the product vision, driving innovation, and ensuring a competitive, differentiated value proposition for corporate and institutional clients, working closely with various geographies, business areas, product and technology teams, and external partners.
This is a strategic position with a global scope, aimed at accelerating business growth through innovative solutions that adapt to changing market and customer needs.
Main functions
Product Strategy & Development
● Collaborate in defining and executing local and global Working Capital product development
strategies, aligned with BBVA's business objectives.
● Lead the evolution and management of the local and global Working Capital solutions
portfolio, ensuring consistency, scalability, and competitiveness across all geographies.
● Identify growth opportunities, new market trends, and emerging client needs to incorporate
them into the product roadmap.
● Design and coordinate initiatives to enhance the value proposition and overall client
experience.
Innovation & Strategic Partnerships
● Research and evaluate new features, technologies, and business models available in the
market.
● Manage relationships with external providers, fintechs, technology platforms, and other
strategic partners to drive innovation and accelerate time-to-market.
● Analyze regulatory, technological, and competitive trends to anticipate opportunities and
mitigate risks.
Global Coordination & Execution
● Work closely with geographies and local teams to identify specific needs and ensure
effective solution deployment.
● Coordinate local and global product initiatives with Technology, Operations, Risks, Legal,
Compliance, and other corporate functions.
● Drive process and capability standardization, promoting synergies and best practices across
different markets.
● Oversee the launch and adoption of new solutions, monitoring performance, results, and key
success indicators.
Training & Enablement
● Design and coordinate training programs for sales teams, specialists, and bankers, ensuring
an in-depth understanding of the local and global product offering.
● Develop commercial materials, use cases, and value propositions to support business
activities.
● Act as an internal reference and subject matter expert in Working Capital Solutions.
Qualifications
● More than 7 years of experience in Transaction Banking, Trade Finance, Supply Chain Finance,
Receivables, Payables, or Working Capital solutions.
● Proven experience in international financial product development and product management.
● In-depth knowledge of digitalization trends, technology platforms, and fintech ecosystems.
● Ability to lead complex projects in multicultural and matrixed environments.
● Strong influence, negotiation, and senior stakeholder management skills.
● Strategic mindset combined with strong execution capabilities.
● Excellent communication and presentation skills.
● Fluent in English (written and spoken); knowledge of other languages will be highly valued.
● Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, or related fields.
