We are looking for a highly senior professional to lead the Operations Excellence discipline within CIB Global Operations, with the main objective of accelerating the transformation of Operations through artificial intelligence, data quality improvement, automation and advanced analytics.
The role will drive the evolution of operational processes towards a more efficient, scalable, controlled and data-driven model, ensuring that AI becomes a real transformation lever rather than a set of isolated initiatives.
The position will act as a connection point between Operations Transformation, Engineering, AI Transformation and BAU Operations teams, ensuring that identified solutions are prioritized, developed, adopted and sustainably embedded into day-to-day operations, while they fit the Operations Post trade services needs.
The role will also coordinate the AI Ops Wizards network across the different Operations verticals, establishing a common methodology, prioritization criteria, impact tracking and escalation mechanisms. The aspirational objective is to progressively build an internal Operations Excellence capability for CIB Operations, providing advanced data- and AI-enabled support while remaining aligned with the bank’s procedural, technological, regulatory and security frameworks.
This global role will be responsible for:
- Identifying CIB Operations transformation priorities in continuous coordination with Operations verticals, Engineering, AI Transformation, Risk, Compliance, Internal Control and other transversal functions.
- Leading the Operations Excellence agenda with a focus on AI, data and automation, ensuring that initiatives are aligned with Operations’ strategic priorities and generate measurable impact.
- Acting as a bridge between the Operations Transformation vertical and BAU verticals, ensuring that AI use cases evolve from idea or pilot stage into real operational adoption.
- Coordinating the AI Ops Wizards network, including the definition of common standards, initiative tracking, consolidation of needs and escalation of opportunities across verticals.
- Prioritizing and overseeing the portfolio of AI use cases in Operations, considering expected impact, technical feasibility, operational complexity, risks, dependencies and adoption capacity.
- Promoting the use of AI, automation and analytics tools available within the bank, maximizing their value within internal security, technology and governance frameworks.
- Fostering a more data-driven operational culture, enabling teams to use data, metrics and artificial intelligence to improve decision-making, productivity and service quality.
- Ensuring a transversal management layer that provides visibility on progress, blockers, impact, risks and executive support needs, including KPI management, planning, control and support to the Head of Operations.
- Key Tasks
- Define and maintain the AI-driven Operations Excellence roadmap for CIB Operations.
- Create, structure and manage a prioritized inventory of AI, data and automation use cases.
- Establish a common methodology for use case identification, assessment, prioritization, tracking and industrialization.
- Coordinate recurring follow-up sessions with AI Ops Wizards and Operations verticals to review opportunities, progress, dependencies and escalation needs.
- Support Operations verticals in identifying pain points, inefficiencies, manual tasks, operational risks and improvement opportunities.
- Define KPIs and benefit-tracking mechanisms linked to efficiency, quality, manual effort reduction, improved response times, adoption and operational impact.
- Prepare executive reporting on the initiative portfolio, including estimated benefits, realized benefits, risks, blockers and next steps.
- Facilitate the transition of solutions from project or pilot stage into BAU, ensuring ownership, procedures, controls and maintenance mechanisms.
- Identify opportunities to reuse solutions across verticals and avoid duplication in the development of tools, agents or automations.
- Contribute to the definition of target operating models for processes transformed through AI, data and automation.
- Skills & Abilities
- Extensive experience in project management and execution, with strong leadership, planning, follow-up and team coordination capabilities.
- Experience in operational transformation, process excellence, DATA, AI or automation.
- Strong knowledge of operational processes, BAU models, controls, service metrics and risk management in financial environments.
- Ability to identify improvement opportunities through data, process analysis, indicators, operational feedback and functional knowledge.
- Strong communication and senior stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact with a wide range of teams and profiles across the organization.
- Ability to conceptualize strategic and transformational solutions that generate value while considering and mitigating potential implementation risks.
- Ability to design implementation plans for solutions impacting a broad set of stakeholders and to coordinate their execution.
- Proactivity, excellence orientation and focus on measurable results.
- Teamwork based on transparency, collaboration and positive leadership, both with colleagues and stakeholders.
