Global Trade & International Banking is a strategic and fast-growing business within BBVA’s Global Transaction Banking (GTB) division. Structured Trade Finance Solutions team is responsible for originating and delivering structured trade finance solutions to corporate clients globally, supporting their import/export financing needs. Working in a dynamic, cross-border environment, the team develops innovative financial products that enhance client relationships and contribute to BBVA’s leadership in international trade finance.
About the position
We are looking for a motivated and committed individual with a collaborative mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and a high technical capacity for structuring financial solutions. This role requires a proactive attitude and an international perspective.
Key responsibilities
- Originate and structure STF transactions,such as prepayments, inventory finance, borrowing base facilities, collateral financings, contract monetizations and other Trade-related financing solutions.
- Offer BBVA clients a wide range of trade finance products and tailor-made financing solutions.
- Perform in-depth feasibility and risk analysis of each transaction, identifying key issues and proposing solutions to enable successful deal execution.
- Actively engage with GTB Distribution to facilitate the syndication and distribution of structured trade finance transactions.
- Collaborate with the global Structured Trade Finance Solutions team and other internal stakeholders (including legal, risk, and commercial teams).
- Contribute to the development of innovative trade finance solutions that support BBVA’s growth strategy in global transaction banking.
Requirements
- More than 6 years of professional experience, ideally in trade finance, corporate banking, structured finance, or similar fields.
- Solid knowledge of structured trade finance instruments (e.g. prepayments, inventory solutions, collateral financings borrowing bases, contract monetization).
- University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Law or related fields.
- Advanced English proficiency (minimum C1), as most of the work is conducted in English.
- Availability to travel internationally up to one full week per month ( LATAM, North America, and Europe).
