About The Role
At BBVA Corporate & Investment Banking, we are looking for a Software Delivery Manager to lead a cross - functional development team in the Equity Engineering space.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead a development team focused on Equities technology solutions, ensuring performance, efficiency, and alignment with business goals.
- Work closely with Product Owners to manage roadmaps, resource planning, and delivery timelines.
- Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle: budgeting, execution, delivery management, and stakeholder reporting.
- Align product and technology strategies to support regulatory compliance and business growth.
- Develop and mentor your team, fostering a high-performance engineering culture.
- Manage partnerships with tech vendors and ensure long-term, sustainable delivery models.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience:
- 5+ years leading software development teams in complex financial environments.
- Strong background in Global Markets, ideally in Equity Finance or related areas.
- Demonstrated experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Prior experience managing distributed teams and vendor relationships.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Java and/or Python.
- Familiarity with systems like Murex, Calypso, Condor, and integration APIs (Processing Scripts, Reporting APIs, MDRS/MDCS).
- Solid grasp of market technologies and financial systems.
Other Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills in English (working language).
- Ability to coordinate across multiple geographies and stakeholders (Spain, EU, LatAm, US).
- Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills.
