What You’ll Do
Job Summary
Drive Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement within Monterrey's Plant in order to enhance its overall effectiveness and to achieve quality, financial, customer and delivery targets. The role will be responsible to drive process harmonization, establish new and maintain existing performance metrics, set objectives, and develop and contribute to CI initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Work closely with cross-functional resources to execute projects and develop procedures to reduce overal costs and improve productivity.
- Cooperate in the management of new product development projects based in ProLaunch standards, including the execution of major milestones,achievement of phase gates, preparation of communication for internal customers, conducting meetings, assuring financials are met, among others.
- Identify, drive and develop continuous improvement initiatives making use of lean tools, including Kaizen, 5's, BPI processes.
- Contribute in the advancement of the organization in the Operations Assessment (OpA) through the development of strategic plans to exceed OpA/ELSSrequirements.
- Collaborate in the development of methods to eliminate quality problems and assure high quality products.
- Support other areas to improve and standardize tools and processes; coordinate the creation of procedures and working instructions, support training andknowledge management as well as identify knowledge and competency gaps
- Lead the implementation of Eaton's Lean Six Sigma processes, tools and metrics as well as the deployment and monitor of the Continuous ImprovementFramework.
- Support the organization to establish a culture/mindset of CI
- Plan and deploy trainings for the different areas of the organization in terms of ELSS tools, including onboarding process for lean manufacturing, Kaizen,gemba walks, use of A3, among others.
- Develop, execute and lead Digital Transformation plan including (Power Bi, MES, Power Apps, Dashboards, I4.0)
- Facilitate Continuous Improvement CI Council
Qualifications
Education level required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Administration from an accredited institution.
Years And Area Of Experience Required
- Minimum of three years of experience in deploying lean into manufacturing operations and other support functions in large and complex organizations.
Technical knowledge
- Knowledge and experience with process improvement and approaches and CI tools like ValueStream Mapping (VSM), Lean Six Sigma, Standardize Work, 5Ss, Kanban and Agile
- Experience with operational assessments processes and leading this as a project lead withwork groups.
- Proven working experience with within Operations, Lean and Continuous Improvementactivities.
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of problem solving tools and methods (e.g. SixSigma, 8D, PDCA, etc.)
- Understanding of the business, its overall processes, budgets and cost drivers.
- Fluent in English
- Proficient in Project Management
- Proficient in MS Office toolset (specially Power BI and Power Apps)
- Green Belt, preferably
- Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and their relationship to lean deployment and operational excellence, preferably
