
Eaton’s Residential Wiring Devices division is currently seeking a Human Resources Manager. This position is onsite. Relocation within Mexico is available.
What You’ll Do
Job Summary
Support the plant in meeting customer expectations by developing & administering HR policies, processes, & programs. Administer the global HR policies in reference to compensation, employee relations, recruiting, talent development, talent acquisition and community services. Manages the human resources function in Monterrey, Mexico with a strong emphasis in establishing and improving key HR systems and processes necessary to support growth.
Job Responsibilities
You will provide strategic and operational leadership for the HR function for the manufacturing team in the Monterrey, MX operation. As an integral part of the site leadership team you will identify, develop and deploy business-driven HR strategies designed to attract, manage, develop, motivate and retain talent while creating a high-performance, sustainable organization capable of achieving the business objectives and action plans.
Essential Functions
- Manage the authorized profit plan for the department with regards to monthly expenses, budget and account management.
- Administer and support the inclusion and diversity, talent development and talent acquisition. With the help of the Staff work to improve employee engagement and adding value to our community to be part of it.
- Represent the organization for all legal and governmental activities when required working closely with company attorney.
- Supervises the maintenance of the human resources information systems to ensure data integrity and alignments with the Mexican and US HRI systems.
- Provides guidance to senior management in the implication of changes in management policies or programs, organization of economic or market trends, product or production method changes.
- Support environmental policy ISO14001 and quality policy ISO9000 to comply with the established procedures.
- Ensure that the plant complies with all relevant employment legislation, US and Mexican & plant and Corporate company policies
- Support & advise plant management & employees with regards to company policies & employment laws, both US and Mexican
- Promote a positive employee relations climate in the plant through implementation of Eaton’s Human Resources Operational Reviews
- Lead & improve training & development related processes, including needs analysis, design & delivery of training, & development programs
- Ensure organization practices align with the Eaton Philosophy.
- Manage salary & wage processes, including ensuring benchmarking within Eaton & against external marketplace data. Compensation: Administer
compensation programs to assure competitive pay practices through systems that strive to reward superior employee performance.
- Ensure proper & effective personnel administration & reporting as required by Eaton & externally.
- Introduce & implement HR policies & procedures, including performance management processes (APEX), in accordance with Eaton standards
- Performance Management: Through the performance management system (APEX) to ensure that annual employee job performance assessments are conducted. This includes the annual goal setting process, the annual assessment process and periodic feedback sessions that strive to raise the performance bar in the organization.
- Provide leadership, management, coaching & development to staff.
- Continually support the education and cross training of all subordinates
- Support the corporate programs for cost savings and other service improvements
- Promote environmental, health and safety policies, procedures and activities of industrial security.
- Contribute to the success of the implementation of MESH and achieve the recordable incident rate goal.
- Maintain HR KPIs, such as Headcount, turnover, attendance, absenteeism etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business or related field is required.
- 7+ years of experience managing human resources in the manufacturing environment.
- Compensation and benefits management experience and must be able to conduct market surveys and analysis.
- Policy, procedure, process and HR metrics administration.
- Organizational development and team administration.
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws in Mexico.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Microsoft Office skills.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Mexico without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree from an accredited institution.
- Experience working with the community and Coaching.
- Knowledge of Tress System.
