Americas Offsites Management Systems – Consulting Application Engineer

Position Summary
The Consulting Application Engineer for Americas Offsites Management Systems is responsible for delivering, configuring, and supporting Schneider Electric’s Offsites Management software solutions. These systems provide comprehensive functionality for refinery and terminal inventory, movement management, blending operations, automation, control, and optimization. This role supports projects from initiation through commissioning and warranty, ensuring high-quality delivery and customer satisfaction across the Americas region.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Engineering
- Execute full lifecycle delivery of Offsites Management Systems—including Kick-Off, Design Definition, Design Review & Approval, Internal Testing, Customer Acceptance Testing, Site Integration, Training, Commissioning, and Warranty—under the direction of Offsites Project Leads.
- Configure and test Offsites Management applications in alignment with approved Design Specifications, engineering manuals, and established Offsites Group best practices.
- Complete all assigned Project Action Log items to customer closure.
Customer Support
- Respond to and resolve assigned installed-base customer support requests, ensuring timely, accurate technical solutions.
Required Competencies & Skills
Technical Expertise
- Experience in development, implementation, or operation of refinery inventory and movement management systems and blend optimization systems.
- Strong background in implementing and maintaining instrumentation, automation, control systems, and relational database–driven applications.
- Proficiency in integrating control systems and business networks, including OT/IT architecture, application servers, and display client systems.
- Understanding refinery offsites operations, regulatory control, advanced process control (APC), model-predictive control (MPC), and optimization techniques.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Systems/Control Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent experience considered.
Communication & Collaboration
Effective English verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in additional languages is a strong advantage.
Role Characteristics
Customer-facing engineering position requiring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.
Occasional travel may be required for site integration, commissioning, and customer support activities.
