
Eaton’s IS AER ITD division is currently seeking a Quality Manager.
What You’ll Do
Job Summary
The Quality Manager will ensure the quality of Eaton’s products through the development and enforcement of quality and manufacturing processes. Develops and implements plans to achieve operation and group quality goals. Directs the implementation and ongoing oversight of the Aerospace Quality Leading Indicators and Quality Best Practices through the Eaton Zero Defects Plan. Ensure compliance to customer quality requirements and acts as principle contact for customer on quality issues. Manage customer communications, corrective actions, customer NOEs, supplier quality, shop floor quality, and Eaton PPAP.
This position has responsibility and oversight of product produced in Eaton ITD Tijuana. The Tijuana ITD site has QMS responsibilities for centralized design and customer service activities within the QMS.
Primary Responsibilities
- You will oversee, hire, and mentor all areas of quality personnel including return material (warranty), receiving inspection, final inspection, source inspection, supplier quality, manufacturing quality, customer quality, and quality compliance
- You will monitor overall plant quality progress and performance and makes corrections as needed.
- You will act as a primary organizational contact for customer concerns and ensures appropriate corrective actions are deployed as necessary.
- You will ensure organizational readiness for customer and other third-party assessments.
- You will deploy Eaton Business System tools, where appropriate or required, to improve Quality Management System effectiveness (i.e. EQMS, QLI’s, PPAP, Supplier Quality Performance, etc).
- You will ensure that necessary organizational certifications and regulatory requirements are obtained, maintained, and improved. (i.e. QMS AS9100-ISO9001 certifications, NADCAP process certification, FAA, etc)
Qualifications
Education/Previous Experience Requirements
- Engineer degree.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an environment aerospace with Quality Management Systems standards and Aerospace Regulatory Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience reading Blueprints, Specifications, and Requirements
- A Minimum five years in Quality or Manufacturing environment.
- A Minimum of 5 years supervising a technical team
Preferred Qualifications
- Six Sigma Greenbelt or Black belt Certification is preferred
- Quality System Knowledge (e.g. AS9100, ISO 9001, TS16949)
- ASQ CQE or CMQOE is preferred.
- Advanced skills with MS Office software are preferred.
