
What You’ll Do
Job Summary
The Sr Product Engineer will support the Product Line Support (PLS) Engineering team by performing and leading technical assignments related to product and process development, transfer, and improvement. This role involves evaluating the feasibility of proposed solutions, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring products meet Eaton's quality and performance standards. The Product Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance product integrity and contribute to the succesful setup of the new manufacturing facility.
Job Responsibilities
- Support Engineering BOM audits in transitions between factories and executes BOM corrections, following procedure order.
- Process drawing updates and modifications, as necessary, in support of production issues or product transitions between factories.
- Lead the prototype validation/engineering run of transitions/NPI at receiving site.
- Maintain and upgrade existing products and its documentation (prints, 3D Smart parts & assemblies, specifications, procedures, etc).
- Be part of UL IPI, audits and Follow up services, and conduct audits when needed. Proactivity to avoid UL holds / label drop.
- Identify and execute cost out projects to drive Value Added Value Engineering (VAVE).
- Utilize Phase-Gate process to execute and follow up projects.
- Comply with EQMS, Lean and Pro-Launch procedures and policies
- Lead to define and implement product validation plan (DVP/PVP) according to drawing, specifications and industry requirements to meet project timing plan.
- Work with Manufacturing and Quality engineering to provide technical support for production issues within the factory as well as at our suppliers.
- Lead development and update of DFMEA, and support PFMEA activities as needed.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineering or similar from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 7-10 years at similar positions.
- Valid US VISA
Required Hard Skills And Knowledge
- Advanced English proficiency.
- BOM structure development and sustaining.
- Previous experience supporting a manufacturing site for product inquiries.
- Prior experience working in Product, Sustaining or Continuous Engineering and/or VAVE (Value Added/ Value Engineering).
- Experience with 2D drafting and designing (AutoCAD or similar).
- 3D/CAD design and modeling experience (Inventor or similar).
- Very good knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of an ERP (MAPICS, Oralcle, SAP, or similar).
- Experience using a PLM platform (e.g. Enovia)
- UL expertise (IPI, FUS, Labels, request, certification, tests).

- Plant transfer previous experience

- Busbars, Sheet metal & coils specifications experience.
- Final assembly products experience.
- Power BI knowledge.
