About The Role
As Senior Business Development Manager, you will play a key strategic role in identifying, evaluating, and executing growth opportunities through in‑licensing, out‑licensing, strategic alliances, and new project development. This position has a direct impact on the company’s competitive positioning and long‑term growth across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate business opportunities that strengthen and expand the company’s product portfolio.
- Conduct in‑depth market research and analysis of local and international pharmaceutical markets to uncover commercial opportunities and emerging trends.
- Assess innovative technologies, business models, and products aligned with corporate strategy.
- Develop and execute comprehensive business cases, including financial analysis, profitability (ROI), and risk assessment.
- Lead technical, legal, commercial, and financial feasibility studies for new product introductions.
- Represent the company at pharmaceutical trade fairs, conferences, and networking events to build strategic partnerships.
- Oversee the end‑to‑end execution of business development projects, from opportunity assessment to product launch.
- Manage and control the department’s budget, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Patents, Commercial, and Business Intelligence) to ensure project success.
- Act as the key liaison with corporate headquarters for the identification and approval of new business opportunities.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Master’s degree (MBA) preferred.
Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical industry, leading new business development, licensing, or strategic alliances.
Language(s)
- Advanced English proficiency.
Skills & Knowledge
- In‑depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical market (local & international).
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance processes.
- Strong financial and business case analysis skills.
- Excellent project management and negotiation capabilities.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM platforms (Salesforce, Xperbit, AI).
