Verisure is seeking a passionate, analytical, and forward-thinkingEnvironmental Compliance Associate to join our growing Technology ESG & Regulatory team. This role will be instrumental in driving Life Cycle Assessments (LCA), implementing Digital Product Passports (DPP), and integrating ESG data into our digital infrastructure.
You will work cross-functionally with product, engineering, IT, procurement, and legal teams to ensure our products meet the highest sustainability and regulatory standards. Our Tech ESG area
As our portfolio of products and services grows in complexity, so does the challenge of managing sustainability compliance in a scalable and efficient way. To address this, we are embedding sustainability into our technology ecosystem, enabling smarter compliance through data-driven tools and digital workflows.
Given these challenges, there is a clear company focus on strengthening compliance efforts and ensuring a consistent Technology regulatory approach.
Role and Responsibilities
- Contribute, from the Technology area perspective, to internal ESG reporting and external disclosures, related to product circularity , ensuring data quality and traceability.
- Monitor and interpret EU sustainability regulations, including ESPR, CPR and Batteries Regulation.
- Lead and support Life Cycle Assessments for products and processes using tools such as SimaPro, Sphera, or OpenLCA.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and IT teams to integrate ESG data into digital systems (e.g., PLM, ERP, LCA databases).
- Drive the implementation of Digital Product Passports (DPP) in alignment with the EU Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR).
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including product environmental profiles.
- Support supplier engagement and data collection strategies for PFAS, carbon footprint, and circularity metrics.
- Participate in stakeholder consultations and industry working groups related to DPP and product sustainability.
- Conduct ad-hoc training sessions to educate the Tech organization on key ESG regulatory changes and compliance requirements
- Design, update, and oversee internal Technology ESG policies to mitigate regulatory risks, ensuring alignment with regulatory frameworks
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- 4–7 years of experience in product/technology sustainability areas, or product compliance roles, with a strong technical focus.
- Understanding of EU regulatory landscape, especially ESPR, CPR, Batteries regulation, CSRD, and SCIP/ECHA databases.
- Experience working in technology-driven or manufacturing environments.
- Ability to translate complex technical data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to explain regulatory requirements to a wide audience as clearly and simply as possible
- Practical management experience of a large, international portfolio (comprising both new and existing products).
- Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus)
Preferred skills
- Proven experience conducting LCAs and interpreting results for product design and compliance.
- Familiarity with Digital Product Passport frameworks, data models (e.g., Catena-X, ECLASS), and interoperability standards.
- Knowledge of PFAS risk assessment, material compliance, or circular economy metrics is a plus
- Experience with blockchain or digital traceability solutions for supply chain transparency.
